Societies around the country are taking time from eating their Easter eggs to complete their applications and prepare their portfolios. The judges are all packing their bags in preparastion for 2 intensive days of adjudication. The silver is being polished. Oh we can hardly wait for the much anticipated National Society Awards on April 11th &12th. Judges we will see you at 11am sharp on April 11th and Nominees we will be waiting for you on the 12th. Dont forget your swim gear for a break in the pool. See you all soon.

Itzacon. Yes, that joke will never get old. Itzacon is NuiGalway’s Fantasy and Science Fiction Society’s annual gaming convention.

Itzacon boasts a wide variety of gaming events, including roleplaying games, wargames, card games console games and boardgames. We also have several special events, such as the Mercifully Brief Table Quiz and the Ridiculously Unfair Charity Raffle. We are even planning an intervarsity this year.

This year we will be unveiling our fairytale theme and putting a new twist on things.

When is it?

It’s on the 9th to the 11th of March. Mark it in your calendar, and come along.
